Shownotes "Preferably biomarkers should be able to identify patients that have HF, identify his or her risk and monitor treatment effects. BNP has the ability to identify HF, serve as a prognostic marker and can be used to guide therapy. Also serial measurements of Troponin T can identify high risk patients. Novel biomarkers, such as GDF-15, are showing promising results, paving the way for multi-marker strategies."
