| Title | Unexplained syncope and the role of the implantable loop recorder. |
| Shownotes | The diagnosis of syncope is often challenging. The implantable loop recorder (ILR) has given us more insight into the underlying mechanisms of syncope in a variety of patients (e.g. in structural heart disease and in bundle branch block). The ILR has also indicated the limitations of widely spread clinical tests, such as the tilt table test, in predicting the mechanism of syncope and thereby the efficacy of therapy. |
