Shownotes "Mrs Julie Anne Fear, 43, was misdiagnosed with epilepsy for 27 years. This had a huge impact on her life. In 2003, Julie was finally given an accurate diagnosis of Reflex Syncope after receiving help and support from
STARS who signposted her to a heart rhythm specialist. Julie has since received a pacemaker which has greatly improved her quality of life. Julie would love to live her life over again without blackouts. She is now able to be the mother that she always wanted to be, and is free from the fear and burden of having blackouts. Cardiac rhythm disorders are common in Julie's family - her father has sick sinus syndrome with syncope and her daughter has Reflex Anoxic Seizures (also known as reflex asystolic syncope)."
